Another thought on ladies profiles. I have noticed that there are quite a few older ladies that leave out the information in the education column.
There is a natural Q. why? The response I've got have been somewhat surprizing.
Apparently there are quite many women who think that showing your intelligence to a man makes him feel intimidated.
Lets go along with this logic for a second. What kind of a man would react in this way? It would most likely be some very conservative and narrow minded individual.
Is it really that type of person who you are searching for?
I mean what you put in your profile is bound to effect the type of answers, and type of people that will answer.
Sure thing, education is by no means a must, and there are plenty of interesting and intelligent people who do not have a formal education.
What I'm trying to Q. here is general attitude towards the intellect, intellectual qualities and intellectual achievements of mature females.
There are many profiles where ladies mention as a headline in the profile, or as very distinct feature in their profile somebody feature. say "long legs " or "blue eyes " or "red hair " or whatever it might be.
But! at the same time they do not mention anything about their achievements! Ladies, I simply do not buy that you are intellectual blank sheet. Take a look inside of yourself! Somebody has a good knowledge of 19th century poetry, someone else knows a lot in say mechanics (say how a car works n' such). But I'm sure that you, mature ladies, KNOW things!
That is part of why we are so attracted to you. That is why there is so much to talk about with you!
come on don't be shy! ;)
BRAG about your intellect!

For starters Jamy I was not certain which queen was being alluded to by Jag.  Liz 1? Who said she was a lesbian when her relationship with a certain male is fairly reasonably documented; and Liz 2, well she is still with us and seems to be hetero and very conservative.  Now if Jag had wondered about Maggie T, I might have concurred or perhaps it was just her ball-breaker persona?!
As to the acceptance issue of age-gap dating, I agree with you entirely.  I mentioned on other blogs about being repeatedly asked if my 20 year younger companion was my son but I did always have the guts to laugh and say not at all, he's my boyfriend.  It does not take rocket science to read body language and it is usually amply clear the status of a relationship like mine was.
while I used to love older model Jaguars, I have given up that testosterone trip and remained with my 4 x4 truck.  Yup, I acknowledge my vehicle is not the most environmentally friendly of vehicles but do keep it well maintained to minimize environmental impacts and only drive when necessary.  I also take it off the road for 7 months of the year and catch the bus.  If I won the lottery I probably would still not buy a high end vehicle anymore - too many other things of more value.

to JAG600 & GigOLo & Helena:

"who wants or needs Conservative history on a fun site?"
Well, that particular part of history is all but conservative. A bisexual queen, w. clear lesbian preference, which she used while still married, is not all that conservative to me. what about you!? ;)))
p.s. kings wife is always called Queen in English, right?

BEER:
I would say that at present, after a HUGE drop in SEK vs.USD, USD got 40% more expensive our prices r ok. For a pint between 5-7.50$.

anyhow, whats S.A.F ???
and who do you support?
as for me my personal preference is rather obvious by my all blue dresscode :)

2Lunamor
U wrote about Education:"which by the way ain't always undeniable proof of intelligence!"

I don't know if you have noticed the following passage in my post:"Sure thing, education is by no means a must, and there are plenty of interesting and intelligent people who do not have a formal education".

BUT! higher education IS an acheivement.
If many O.W. show off their other talents and achivements why not make education part of them?!?

Lunamor: why give them something else to feel anxious about, before they know us a little better?

Well how about we apply same criterias on some physical aspects?
May be a woman is beauty!
Guys are intimidated!
How about hidding a hand?
and THAAAN when he gets to know you better, you actually show that u DO have both hands??

The problem (for older blokes like me)is that they are now being brainwashed to keep to their own age range in those relationships. It,s the same for younger blokes who like older women.
- - -
YES, JAG, surprizingly enough we seem to have found some common ground at least some aspect of the issue. namely: it would be perfect if it was much more accepted than it already is, for young girls to have much older men. If there is much less older men around . . .
the choice of younger guy, might not be as controversial :)))
but! there is one BIIIG diffrence. Lets say some midmanagement 50+ o.m. finds a 30 y.o. wife. The "general" reaction in the office will be, "you go man", "what a catch", "u lucky b*stard" etc. If the situation is reversed, and people will somehow find out that a midmanagement 50+ W. got a 30y.o. guy it might put her advance in danger.
Can you see the diffrence??
p.s "On the subject of British blokes looking for young foreign girls do you know what caused the mutiny on the Bounty" - NO. but wanna know.

2 JAG: as for the King, Georg the 3rd: its true he was a Gerry. but most historians agree that the problems during the end of his regim were not a product of his nationality but mainly due to mental illness. For several years he was blind on top of it!
so... while her husbarnd was eee mentaly handicaped and blined, his wife made the best out of situation, and helped her self to a quite a few court ladies. F. instance during the battle in present day intaly they sent the message as a reply:let us talk to an only true man on trone (the queen).

Anyhow, the point bein' that UK has always beein' able to produce some strong and indipendent women(regardless of their sexuality), for who beein' married was no more than formality ;)

Regarding cars, JAG, we r somewhat diffrent indeed. I do not have and never had drivers licens. I do have a car, but since I have to rent people to drive it, its a very simple ford focus biofuel, mainly used to move big stuff to the country side or from it. so all this talk of jaguars is somewhat lost on me:=)

So on my acount one more practical point against much younger girls, we wouldnt be able to drive my car for away weekend! ;)))

Allright JAG, we might not agree w. you on the issues (its same as a Chelsea supporter agrein' w. MU fan on who's teams playin' style is more attractive :)))
but at least I have to admit that I have good fun readin' ur replys.
so ur GSOH might be a good way of gettin' in touch w. thouse y. girls! (or any ladies for that matter)

as 4 the UK queen, the one that didn't really fancy man at all, it was the one who rulled during the admiral Nelsson.

As 4 older fems: I think BRAIN is the bigest sexual organ of all.
Since I do find both IQ and EQ very-very attractive, naturally I find unfortunate that so many older fems choose to hide it.

The 80+ year old Queen of Britain knows a fair bit about car mechanics and she,s been educated to a high standard. However as to wether that would make her more desirable,if she were,nt married, than a young woman, who,s aim in life is not intellect but to raise her children, while she,s young, seems like a no contest,at least from my point of view and I,d say most other blokes
- - -
Jag honestly, can YOU belive that the childbearing ability is NOT a criteria at least for some of us???
I mean a guy finds consistently women over 40 attractive, that probably the biological clock is not the biggest thing on his mind.
As to "most other blokes":
well first of all, sure thing probably few other guys who are as clear about not intrest in biological procreation as us who are intrested in ladies over 40.
But!!! mind you, the fact is the I rather often encounter guys both in their 20th and 30th who's top priority is NOT becomming a father ;)
As to queen of England, its the presnt one you mean right? (there have been at least one who wasn't into man at all), sure she is out of MY "age range", but so are younger girls. and no matter of the age I prefer people with who I can have interesting conversations.

Mate, there you go again... In reality, I don't have to say much for any woman who I am involved with over time to end up in nirvana... Sir, I am a patient practitioner and if it is mutual then that would be our business.
If we click and learn about each other then that's my mantra. Helena, one day we'll meet in Vancouver, Victoria or Calgary.

I do wish I could meet you Gig because you say everything a woman wants to hear (okay so we are deaf to some things), tomorrow is valentine's day and I loved what you said. Hope you have a wonderful day, L

Every woman on this site is beautifful, desirous, highly intelligent, wantonly impressionable, fantastically spirited and did I say I am most impressed...
